The famous singer P!nk, also known as Alecia Beth Moore Hart, recalls being told during the early stages of her career that having children would ruin her chances of achieving fame. However, she discovered that the opposite was true.
The 43-year-old celebrity has two children with her husband, Carey Hart. In an interview with People Magazine, she discussed the response from the music industry when she disclosed her plans to have children.
“Everyone told me, ‘If you have children right now, your career’s over,’” P!nk recalled. P!nk stated that becoming a mother broadened her creative horizons and enhanced her singing career.
“Obviously, we’re all much more complex than any of that, but when I had a child, I think it softened me to the world,” she continued. “And I think that’s when my career began, really… I think it’s when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it.”
Yet, P!nk is known for being pro-abortion. In June 2022, she tweeted an irate message to conservatives in the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned.
Likewise, Rihanna, another famous singer, is known for her activism in supporting pro-abortion rights. However, she surprised her fans when she became a mother in 2022.
She then performed the Superbowl halftime show while pregnant with her second child. In giving her reasons for taking on this feat, she tweeted: “When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you can do anything.”
Like P!nk, motherhood did not stunt or stifle her life but had the opposite effect.
“Children Will Ruin Your Life…”
So, they say.
One of the primary claims pro-abortionists make is that children will deter many women from following their dreams. Countless women are stunned to discover that, on the contrary, children are what gave them a reason to live and thrive. Children were what deepened their lives and filled them with incomprehensible love.
P!nk’s decision to become a mom is an excellent example of how motherhood doesn’t have to be a barrier to success. Instead, it can be a source of inspiration and motivation to achieve more in life. Her story challenges the pro-abortion narrative that having kids will hold women back.
In her interview with People magazine, P!nk shared her experience of motherhood and how it has changed her perspective on life. She said, “I never knew love like this before. It’s the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done.”
Numerous accounts exist in which even children conceived as a result of rape have had a positive influence on their mothers’ lives by giving them a deeper purpose.
Are P!nk and Rihanna Still Pro-Abortion?
As far as we know, yes. But their lives seem to be a contradiction of their beliefs.
If you are pro-abortion (or you’re on the fence), you might wonder why having children necessarily contradicts pro-abortion beliefs. Plenty of pro-abortion women chose to have children. That’s the point: they made the choice.
At first glance, that is a fair point.
But think of it this way. For many women, the topic of abortion is just that, a topic. It exists merely as an opinion, an abstract notion they have been exposed to for their entire lives but never thought deeply about or questioned.
Pregnancy changes everything. Pregnancy forces women to confront a very different reality, whether they acknowledge it or not.
When you hear your baby’s heartbeat as early as three weeks and see those fingers and toes in the ultrasound, former opinions often collapse. That is why Planned Parenthood does not offer ultrasounds. They know that when you see a living baby inside your womb, it’s much harder to contemplate destroying that baby.
Pregnant women are forced to realize that this baby is not a clump of cells. It is a human being—a separate person with a right to live.
